Lightblack is an established web technologies firm with prestige clientele. For more than decade we are delivering high quality websites, e-commerce solutions and custom web applications to meet any business need. We are expanding and looking for a support engineer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first level support to the company’s customers via email, chat and occasional phone calls
  • Implement hotfixes for minor issues or communicate with the development team for major issue and chase a solution
  • Communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical people
  • Document and build new tools to improve support flows
  • Identify patterns, recommend improvements, and filter out unimportant issues
  • Assist with successful on-boarding of new customers
  • Assist with development tasks from time to time

Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science or similar
  • Good knowledge of the PHP and Javascript programming languages
  • Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • General understanding of web technologies like frameworks and libraries
  • Good knowledge of relational databases and hands on experience with at least one of MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Very good communication skills in both Greek and English verbal and written
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Be flexible and proficient
  • Be able to meet deadlines

Will be considered as an advantage

  • Previous experience in similar position
  • Be familiar with a versioning control system like svn or git
  • Be familiar with Linux operating systems
  • Previous experience in Atlassian products
